My Mother's Piddling Chair

As a kid inwards Dominicus school, my woman bring upwards sat inwards a niggling wooden chair together with memorized the 23rd Psalm

Fifty years later, when my mother's church building ordered novel chairs, she bought ane of the one-time ones for me. When I come across it inwards my dining room, I imagine her every bit a wide-eyed kid saying, "The Lord is my Shepherd."

The Twenty-third Psalm transmits:
♥ gentleness
♥ patient care
♥ guidance
♥ constant presence

I similar images of Christ, our Shepherd, belongings a pocket-sized lamb comfortably on his shoulders.

I’ve been on those shoulders.

On those shoulders:
♥ “I accept everything I need”
♥  He gives me remainder together with peace
♥ “He renews my strength”
♥ "He guides me inwards paths that convey laurels to His Name"

When I come across that niggling chair inwards my dining room, I retrieve my momma who "shepherded me" when I was a child. And I rejoice that she right away spends her days inwards the arms of the Ultimate Shepherd.

To read close the my mother's in conclusion days together with the 23rd Psalm, read "From Childhood to Our Last Breath."
