God promises to fulfill our catch desires.
But there's i critical condition: First nosotros must delight ourselves inward Him.
"Take delight inward the LORD, too he volition give y'all the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4 NLT
If we're looking to fulfill selfish desires, nosotros should memorize 1 Timothy 6:9-10, non Psalm 37:4. Because "some people, craving money, accept wandered from the truthful faith too pierced themselves amongst many sorrows."
If nosotros intend nosotros tin sack purpose prayer to dice our way, we'll ever last disappointed. James 4:3 says God doesn't respond selfish prayers.
But when nosotros delight ourselves inward the Lord--i.e. discovery our happiness inward the Lord, heed to too obey Him, taste too treasure our human relationship amongst Him to a higher house all else--then nosotros no longer wish to delight ourselves.
We wish to delight God.
We laid out to intend His thoughts ... too accept His desires.
And that is the existent fundamental to answered prayer (1 John 5:14-15).
