As "retired" empty-nesters, my hubby together with I are able to overstep on a pretty orderly house...unless our grandchildren visit. They're a niggling whirlwind of disorder, cookie crumbs, together with skinned knees. Life would endure easier if they didn't visit, but oh, together with then much less meaningful.
Worthwhile things inwards life close ever involve time, effort, together with self-denial.
Our civilisation encourages us to satisfy our selfish desires. Christ asks us to deny them (Luke 9:23-24).
And nosotros obey because nosotros dear Christ (John 14:15).
Not exclusively does God deserve our best, self-denial makes our lives to a greater extent than worthwhile (John 10:10)!
