What's man's greatest temptation? What tempts men to a greater extent than than whatsoever other thing?
We've all heard that dearest for coin is a root of evil. Does this hateful it's God's greatest competition for men's hearts?
There's no denying that dearest for coin has ruined many souls but Scripture says "love of coin is A root of all kinds of evil," non THE root (1 Timothy 6:10).
Scripture genuinely teaches that man's greatest temptation is unbelief, non money.
Unbelief kept the Israelites from the Promised Land (Hebrews 3:18-19) together with caused them to:
1. Worship other Gods.
2. Behave immorally.3. Test God.
4. Complain against God.
(1 Corinthians 10:1-11)
These are characteristics of unbelief, non the crusade of it.
Modern unbelievers present similar characteristics:
1. Worshiping other gods - coin existence 1 possibility.
2. Defining morality apart from God.
3. Refusing to believe inwards God or what He says.
4. Blaming God for evil inwards the world!
All of these add together upwards to unbelief - thinking nosotros tin live on our ain God (just similar Eve), the root of all evil.
